When Elephants Were Young
William Shatner narrates this intimate story of a young man and a young elephant living in Thailand. Wok and his elephant Nong Mai share a life of struggle and street begging in gritty Bangkok. Their tender bond reveals a complex relationship, where wild elephants live among humans. One day the opportunity comes to release Nong Mai to the forest. Can an elephant who has only known a life of captivity survive in the wild? While the lens never strays from its focus of protecting the endangered Asian elephant from exploitation and extinction, this provocative and bittersweet film is a surprising view into the paradoxes of elephants in captivity - and the opportunity for Nong Mai’s survival may be a happy ending that offers hope for all.

As the world rages in war and civil strife, CIA agent Carmen Reese arrives at a secret underground prison to interrogate a time-traveling terrorist who is responsible for the unfolding catastrophe. Her immediate task is to investigate the mysterious death of her predecessor - a talented interrogator and former lover. Was it suicide as the evidence suggests? Or was it murder? Empty Threat - CHVRCHES
How strange and refreshing to watch something about being a teenager that doesn't revolve around conflict. In Chvrches's video about a group of young goths' trip to a South Florida water park, director Austin Peters doesn't dwell on opposition. (If it happens at all, it's from a few side-eyes on the edges of the frame.) Instead Peters focuses on feelings of kinship, with a humanistic approach that's never cloying. Starring 16-year-old high school student and photographer Riley Buttery (who got a reprieve from being grounded during filming) and several other locals, "Empty Threat" isn't about being out of step, it's about finding your footing.
