BATTLE FOR THE BARRIERS -
Compounded by sea level rise and stronger and more frequent storms, lives and infrastructure in coastal communities are increasingly at risk for flooding and wind driven destruction from events like super storm Sandy. Battle for the Barriers explores adaptation strategies and projects in coastal states along the Eastern US seaboard designed to help safeguard the people, wildlife and properties in these storm and flood prone areas. In the absence of Federal policy to address climate change, state-based organizations, both public and private, seek to protect beaches, dunes and wetlands--the first line of defense along the coastlines and inland waterways in harm's way. As solutions are hopefully developed to reduce our carbon footprint, protecting these natural barriers is critical to preventing new catastrophic loss from storm events and encroaching sea level rise. It is a battle further complicated by ongoing development fueled by the promise of Federal subsidy in the event of disaster.

The film explores the perspectives of Jewish Child Holocaust Survivors as they rebuilt their lives after the Second World War. Answering the question, “How do you “live” after surviving the Holocaust?” the film builds a nuanced and complex portrait of the survivors’ struggles through the lens of key universal questions about Belief in God, Forgiveness, Home, Jewish identity and Memory. Nine survivor’s voices are interwoven together and merge into a choral ensemble telling the previously untold story of the efforts of child survivors to build normal and productive lives from tragic beginnings. Since: The Bombing of Pan Am Flight 103
Terrorism is one of biggest problems facing humanity today, but the families of the 270 victims of Pan Am Flight 103 have lived with it for decades. Bound together by tragedy when a bomb ripped the New York-bound 747 jumbo jet into pieces over Lockerbie, Scotland, just before Christmas in 1988, the Flight 103 families faced one traumatic injustice after another. From the early days when an unprepared U.S. government left the relatives to fend for themselves against a greedy, once-iconic airline, to the modern era, when the only man convicted of the crime was set free in a backdoor oil deal with Libya, the families refused to go down without a fight, harnessing the power of the media in their war for truth and justice. SINCE: THE BOMBING OF PAN AM FLIGHT 103 is a feature documentary that tells the story of some of these first victims of terrorism, who proved that ordinary people can accomplish extraordinary feats in the wake of politically fueled mass murder.

Chicken
Richard (Scott Chambers), 15 with learning difficulties, longs to put down roots but his restless and destructive brother, Polly (Morgan Watkins), needs to keep moving. When the land they live on is bought by a new landowner, and the electricity supply to their caravan is cut, their already precarious living conditions get even worse. Then a chance meeting with the new landowner's daughter, Annabel (Yasmin Paige), leaves Richard besotted; while Polly befriends the guys who run a seedy traveling fair. Richard's optimistic view on life becomes increasingly difficult to maintain as Polly's behavior worsens, and he is torn between loyalty to his brother and his first true friend in Annabel. For better or worse, Richard's life is about to change forever.
